Abstract
Neo - Eurasianism has re-emerged as a core ideological framework of Russia's geopolitical identity in the 21st century, particularly in the context of the decline of liberal universalism and the rise of a multipolar world order. This article explores the historical roots and theoretical foundations of Neo-Eurasian thought and examines its practical application in Russian foreign policy. It analyzes how the Kremlin uses Neo-Eurasianism as a tool of civilizational self-identification and resistance against Western liberal hegemony. Key concepts such as civilizational sovereignty, the Eurasian Economic Union, and strategic realignment toward the Global South are discussed as part of Russia’s evolving international strategy.
